Library cards are offered free of charge. In order to obtain a library card, you must meet at least one of the following requirements:
\nHave a permanent address in New Brunswick;
\nOwn property or pay taxes in New Brunswick;
\nLive outside New Brunswick, but in a region near a library (you must provide proof of address);
\nBe a student in a New Brunswick school or a student enrolled in a New Brunswick college or university for a full year of study; Or
\nBe a student at a New Brunswick school, college or university participating in a student exchange program for less than one full year of study.
\nYou can apply for a library card online or in person. If registration is done online you will receive the library card by mail and you will have to come in person to the library and provide proof of identity which includes your civic address. Note that a parent's signature is required for children under 13.
\nA library card offers free access to a provincial collection of more than 2 million documents and to programs and services for children, teens and adults which include, among other things, story time, public conferences, help with technology, book clubs, creativity workshops, reference services, conversation circles, public access computers and WiFi.
\nYou need a library card to borrow materials, use public access computers, and access online resources. Anyone can visit a library to consult documents on site, use the computers or participate in an activity even if they do not have a library card.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t

Yes, simply open your file in the catalog with your library card number and your PIN which is by default the last 4 digits of your phone number.
\nThen find the document you want to reserve and click on the Reserve link. You will need to choose the branch where the document will be delivered. You can also reserve documents at any library in New Brunswick.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\n\t\t\t

Yes, visit our Online Library page for several resources. Click on PressReader for magazines and newspapers from around the world or Eureka for more French-speaking magazines or newspapers. Canadian Newsstream provides access to Canadian newspapers. Enter your library card number and your PIN which is by default the last 4 digits of your phone number. You can donate your documents to the library. Donors should bring their donation to the library during opening hours and speak to a staff member. Donated materials should not be left outside the library or placed in the book drop.
\nDonated materials may be added to the collection, sold (and the money raised will be used to purchase new materials for the library), or disposed of in an acceptable manner. Acceptable means of disposal include donating the materials to another organization. You can borrow up to 50 documents (including audio-visual documents and objects) for a period of 3 weeks.
\nYou can borrow 5 books on both Overdrive and Pr\u00eatnum\u00e9rique.
\nCan we renew loans?
\nYour documents are automatically renewed twice, unless a hold has been placed on one of the documents. It will then frustrate you to bring it back.

The interlibrary loan service allows you to obtain documents that are not in the collections of New Brunswick public libraries by ordering them from elsewhere in Canada or around the world. The library orders books for you according to your needs and contacts you when they are available. All you have to do is pick them up at the library!
\nThe service is free unless the lending library imposes a fee. You can keep them for a period varying from 2 weeks to 1 month. There is a maximum of 10 requests at a time. Complete our interlibrary loan request form.
